Trident Girls play at USC

In addition to enjoying a high level NCAA Women’s Lacrosse game, a team of Trident Lacrosse Middle School Girls had the opportunity to play a short exhibition scrimmage during halftime of the Division I matchup between the USC Trojans and the Cal Bears at McAlister Field. The Trident Girls were matched up against a talented Dragons squad, in a fast-paced, hard-fought game. It was an exciting opportunity to showcase what our talented Middle School girls are capable of on the field in a great setting. After the scrimmage, the Women of Troy went on to defeat Cal by a score of 19-7.

Bailyn Weiner

Bailyn has been a valuable part of Trident at the elementary school level for just under a year, working with our staff at practices and games for our third thru fifth grade division. Bailyn grew up in Manhattan Beach and was an all-conference player on the first ever Mira Costa Girls’ Lacrosse team when the program launched over 10 years ago. After high school Bailyn went to college at the presitgious Lafeyette Unviersity in Pennsylvania. Upon moving back to the South Bay, she recently worked closely with Coach Kate to launch the MBMS Girls’ Lacrosse program last spring, and is a former camp counselor at Gold Arrow Camp where she taught sailing to all ages. She connects very well with our girls and her role in being a part of launching high school lacrosse locally as a player and middle school lacrosse as a coach is great legacy that has paved the way for many of our players.
